The CAAC welcomed five new members, reviewed the group’s database dashboard, prayed for the presidential search committees of five SBC entities, and set 2019 goals and action plans during its August 2–3 meeting in Atlanta.

Members of the Executive Committee CAAC, joined by leaders of more than a dozen ethnic minority fellowships of Southern Baptist churches, presented a preliminary draft of The Many Faces of the Southern Baptist Convention.
The “2017 SBC EC Young Leaders Advisory Council Survey” is one of the tools the Executive Committee Young Leaders Advisory Council is using to find ways to deepen the involvement of millennial pastors and church leaders in the total life of the Southern Baptist Convention.
The advisory group hopes to draft recommendations to foster vibrant participation within Southern Baptist life among young leaders, including both pastors and denominational servants.
During its third and final meeting, the Women’s Advisory Council received reports from work teams, reviewed research findings from a survey it conducted in 2016, and began formulating specific recommendations to present to Frank S. Page, president and CEO of the SBC Executive Committee.
With the purpose of involving Southern Baptist women in all areas of Convention life, the task force has been at work this year conducting a survey and researching resources specifically for women.
The SBC Executive Committee has named a permanent advisory group to continue to equip, inform, and empower all Southern Baptists for the spread of the Gospel.
